Wednesday was the Baan Hongnual Cooking School. We started off shopping through one of the markets with our chef Amporn - the meat section in particular was an eye-opener and was all the motivation I needed to embark on another vegetarian phase. The fruit and veges were superb and Emerson especially is enjoying all of the different tastes while we're here in Thailand, with his favourite being the dragonfruit.
Then we headed out to Amporn's family home in a village slightly north of Chiang Mai and over the course of the day we made and ate 6 different Thai dishes. She has up to 30 people at a time doing classes but we were lucky that it was just the four of us for the day. At the end of the session we all got a recipe book so the pressure's on to recreate all of the dishes on our return to Nelson!
