Bundaberg
We did alot of travelling yesterday, alot being most of the day, nothing to do and alot of trees to be seen.
Arrived in Bundaberg late afternoon shattered from the drive and hungry.
After alittle bit of food, we wnt for a walk along the beach at the campsite, and we were lucky enough to see big lady turtle digging in the sand to lay her eggs. To think the lady at the tourist place was trying to get us to part with monies to see such a thing and we saw it for free !
Fantastic lightening show was going on for most of the evening around the bay, the storm finally hit early hours this morning. Again, a camper van aint the best place to be in a humid storm, ya kinda stuck where you are and cant opent he windows.
Brisbane apartenly had storms with hail the size of golf balls, mmmm lets hope no more of that then cos thats where we are heading right now and they have had bad weather for2 days apparenlty.
We saw the after math of the storms in Rockhampton yesterday when we drove through. Everything surrounded in brown merky waters and the rivers are all over and most of them still at tree top level, lucky we werent there a few days ago.!
Today we have been to two places, a place that makes ginger beer, had a tour and learnt all about that, purchased a few beverages and then departed to to the rum distillary.
The distillary was good, learnt how to make the rum, no doubt something tim will want to try when we get back, he he.
After the guided tour we were all alowed 2 drinks each, wow good job i wasnt driving. i had some proper stuff, man it was strong, i had to ask for some lemonade in it, else i think i be sleeping until tomoz. enough to blow ya socks off.
Been to the sizzler for a mahooosive dinner and now we are back on the road again.
Not sure where home will be tonight until we get there.
