Computor peeps- been trying to upload photos for days now so if anyone knows how to get rather large photos which are already on CD, to be smaller, without copying them again let me know ta!
So Ko Phangan thurs, fri, sat, sun! Can't say I saw more than the two beaches, the bar and the swimming pool but what else is there to do on an island. Apparently there was a waterfall somwhere - im sure it was lovely. Spent a lot of time getting up late and deciding what to have for dinner which was nice. No rushing around with the backpack or trying to catch buses or trains. Sunday night was the full moon party. MaSSIVE and probably only to be done once in your lifetime. Boats were arriving all day from ko Samui and ko tao - bringing the people who were just coming over for the party! The island was full! The welsh/english girls arrived from ko tao so we had a meal and stayed at coral bar till late then headed for the beach. Made it untill morning- doubt that will happen again in a hurry- thai red bull (cannot even drink normal red bull)!. Managed a couple of hours sleep before I had to catch the bus to the port. The whole island was as the girls would say 'hanging'.! The taxi's were packed taking people to various ports and bus stops, amazing seeing as most won't have been to bed. BUt, it was compulsory!
Not the most enjoyable taxi/boat/bus trip ive ever been on but met a nice american girl and we managed to chat away despite being incredibly tired. Got to bangkok late and came straight to the familys! Been having a lovely time with Mala- playing dolls and helping her with homework. Also there has been a mass onslaught of people arriving to stay for a few days- very kool as one of the ladys lives in camobodia and has brought her adopted son with her. Hes adorable. A couple of burmese friends of Zormins came by too, lovely people- so friendly! Next few days Im going to try and chill out before australia- am also planning to cut down on my whisky and soda intake! Not a difficulty I usually have at home! :)
Granny- :) I've heard you are trying your best to keep up with my travels despite my dreadful spelling and grammer! Even I'm finding it difficult to go back and read my entries! Im embarrassed! No excuses - I did learn these things at school and my degree was English Literature! Will try to improve! Hoping to arrive in Adelaide 15th-18th Dec - thats if you will still have your illiterate grandaughter for christmas :) !
