Sorry it's been awhile since I've written anything, we've been doing a lot of traveling.
Went to London last last weekend, and it was beyond my expecations! I lovvvvved that city! The momuments were sooooo cool, and for being such a big city I really enjoyed the atmosphere and cleanliness. We saw some really cool museums, including the Biritsh Museum where we saw the Rosetta Stone, and also the National Gallery where we saw original paintings by Picasso and Van Gogh. We checked out the various parks...Hyde Park, Green Park, Kensington Park. And the Palaces of course...Buckingham Palace, Kennsington Palace, Parliment, Big Ben, etc... At Westminster Abbey we attended an evensong service, which was amazinggggg and probably my favorite part of the trip. We were part of a daily tradition that had occured every day for the past 1000 years. Thats what I loved about London, its so modern and advanced but then you turn the corner and there are very old buildings. We had tons of fun, and saw practically everything we wanted to see. I stay an extra day by myself and it went really well and I actually enjoyed the solitude a lot! I went to St Paul Cathedral and did some market shopping. I loved London so much, and could really see myself trying to get my foot in the financial industry after I graduate here, but the weather was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cold! So I really dont know about all that!! However, we were in London for five days, and aparentally it rains alllll the time there, so we got reallly lucky that we didn't get any rain. In fact, it was sunny most the time! =)
This past weekend we went to Lisbon, Portugal. I liked it a lot, but it wasn't my absolute favorite. I think it is because I went with ISA (the program Im stuying thru), and since I go to the University and most of my friends go to a smaller international school, we don't do excursions at the same time. So I had some friends, but Lisbon was the kinda place where you would want a big group of fun friends. We hiked up to a really old castle where we got great views of the city (see my pics!) Then at night my friend Danny has a friend studying in Lisbon so we met up and he took us to an amazing buffet or Portoguese and Brazilian food, then took us to the local bar area which was a really cool area, and Im somewhat envious that Sevilla doesn't have a district like that full of young people. That's probably the one complaint I have about Sevilla, the ratio between young and old people is like 1:10, statsically...so everywhere you go its alwayyyys old people! grr) Anyways...the second day we did some more sightseeing then spent the rest of the day at a beautiful beach town. The water was cold, but it was awesome to enjoy the sunshine and cool weather. I forgot how much I love and need ocean in my life!
Un beso.
