Well sorry about no recent updates, I left the battery adaptor somewhere in a France hotel. Just found won at the best western we are staying at in Honfleur France. We are going to explore the Normandy beaches tommorow. At last we left you, we were floating down the Dordogne River in a canoe. My chicken girl friend wouldnt even let me go down some rippling water that I found on a otherwise lazy river. It was however a very relaxing diversion for about 4 hours, as we banked our canoe at some of the towns located on the River.
We left Beynac for the Loire valley. Susan located a Chateau that was built in the 1400's and restored by a young French couple. IT was located out in the middle of nowhere somewhere in the Chinon wine region. The Chateau was sorrounded by miles of alternating yellow and green fields. A scene worth remembering to restore tranquil thoughts. We unpacked and went to the local grocery store and picked up some steak and bratwourst that we cooked over a grill that our Chateau owner Jerome had started just for our private use. We ate some scalloped potatos that another couple shared with us who were staying at the Chateau. We met some interesting people. A young couple from England, the guy was a rock climber and the girl worked for google. She traveled the World and all continents but one. We shared our stories over a bottle of wine.
Last night we had a quick stop over in the small sea side town of Brittany called Cancale. We ate some mussels and local cider and got up early to visit the famous pigrimage site of St. mont Michel. Moving onward we just checked into our Best Western inn Honfleur. Susan is taking a nap, and I will join her shortly.
Love to all,
