Another hard day having fun. Breakfast entertainment was provided by a big female baboon strolling through the dining room and jumping up on to a table next to a party of ladies eating scrambled eggs. She was soon in disgrace, because she pooed on her table! Not the thing to do in a hotel with a mealtime dress code.
The weather is unreliable: there have been violently cracking thunderstorms, but this morning looked fine, so we wandered up the mountain for a while. The slopes are littered with non-indigenous blue-gum trees, liable to sudden collapse and (if we read the charred stumps and trunks we saw) to catch the lightning. But stunning views and lots of flowers.
Then, after coffee, I had a hot rock back massage in the Wellness Centre. Blisssss. Lunch - and a bit of culture. The Drakensberg Boys' Choir - supported today, as it happens, by the Prague Philharmonic Children's Choir. Not even going to try to express how wonderful they were (Google them; and they are on YouTube).
The cover picture is of the organ pipes in their auditorium; if Keith Brown could have seen what they have!
And now it's time for Scrabble. We have won equal numbers of games... And I was - as I am reminded - an English teacher, whereas Peter claims to be an illiterate engineer who can hardly string two words together. Humph!
