hello all,

well its been a while since ive been able to use some ok tinternet so thought id update you all on whats been going on!

since last messages i have left cambodia and gone to vietnam, im leaving for sydney in a week! its all going pretty quickly.

Vietnam is a funny old place and its nothing like i thought it would be! i left phnom penh and got a bus to ho chi minh city (saigon) it took about 6-7 hours, which was nice!!! Saigon is a massive commercial and financial city and to tell the truth it was not my cup of tea at all. about 8 million people live there and i swear that every time i tried to cross a road they all came round the corner on their bikes!! its a pretty scarry experience but the trick is just to step out onto the road and walk very slowly in a straight line and let them whiz round you, under no circumstance do you stop because once youve lost mommentum youve had it!! you also have to look out for the gangs that drive past trying to liberate you of your wallet! to be honest it felt like any city ive ever been to and i couldnt wait to get out of there. saying that though the bars were good and so to the night market selling food on the street, i had beef on a hot roof tile! they give you a bbq a plate of raw beef and some rice paper and you cook the beef and veggies and make your own spring rolls! yum.

im off for food now with some mates but ill update the rest of vietnam tomorrow will try to get more pics on too!
