Hi All,
Welcome to my travel blog. I hope to be able to let you know about my 8 days in England, 4 days in Copenhagen, Scottish islands, Iceland and finally Newfoundland.
Spent lovely evening at Tower Hotel in Harwich. Boarding Brilliance of the Seas later this morning. Hope to find 5 bridge students aboard, they traveled on different days from Tucson and Vancouver.
Home sweet home. Unexpected ending to what was to be a great trip but such is life! Roll with the punches. Luckily I have a nice home to return to. Unpacked, laundry done. Watched U S Open. C…

Yay Barbara. I went to England to visit my parents who lived there for 8 years. We saw all kinds of wonderful places, Windsor Castle, Big Bend, Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, shopped at the large department store (I want to say Bloomingdale's, but that is not correct). My parents lived in Hyde Park Crescent. Dad was the President of Texaco, U.K. so my mother and he got to special things, like have tea with the Queen Mother, sit in the Queen's box at Wimbledon, go to J. Paul Getty's home for the party of the century. Needless to say, they really enjoyed living there. From there, they moved back to the States, lived in Darien, Connecticut and my dad commuted to NYC everyday. He had a corner office in the Chrysler Building, They were also world travelers, like you. Have a great time. Where else are you going?
