We woke up bright and early and had a nice breaky at the hotel. Baguette and Croissant with butter and jam seem to be the traditional start to the day for the French.
The sights in Dijon impressed us all. There was a tourist walk that we went on that passes all of the historical sights and monuments there is to see. There are maps to find your way but the alternative for people keeping their barings, is to follow a Hansel & Grettal type trail of small triangular brass plaques with a cartoon like picture of an owl, fixed to the ground pointing in the direction you're to go. We lost the little owls at one stage, but the back- up map got us back on the right track.
The buildings in this town had history to say the least!! A number of which were constructed in the early 1500's!
After a quick Cafe Creme, we got on the road for our 400km drive to Loire valley.
