1st/2ndJulySalzburg to Ottobrunn 135 km Ottobrunn to Seefeld 60km
Packed up and headed for Ottobrunn where cousin Anita lives on the outskirts of Munchen (Munich). We knew we'd crossed the boarder into Germany when the autobahn suddenly became like a grand prix race course! Even the Nissan micras were leaving us standing. It was like one of those movie special effects where the camera pans out on a subject & every thing else zooms into the distance, there is no speed limit on motorways & they all travel at over 100 MPH.Added bonus when we arrived was Aunty Gill and Uncle David being there too, they had only arrived the day before. We had a lovely BBQ lunch and caught up on all the family gossip. We were very glad of their company as 4 weeks on the road with very few English speaking people to converse with takes its toll a little. After our goodbyes we headed for Ammersee which was only 1 hour away as time was getting on and the Black Forrest would have been a 4 hour drive. We were very glad of the site we found right next to the lake in Seefeld, but the thunder storm that has been following us from Venice caught up with us about an hour after we arrived. (starting to take it personally). It was the worse storm yet & we pitied the people stuck in tents. We were in the bar when it started (you got it,' chillin with a beer'), Sue took Drum back to the van & almost got washed away in the rivers of water washing down the campsite roads. She sheltered in the van but had to jump out when her flip flops started to float away! All passed over in about an hour though & today the weather is glorious. Such a lovely spot that we've decided to stay another day to catch some sun & swim in the lake.

This is where my ancestors come from. It's also the land of the sausage, which explains a few things.
Met some family members, but nobody gave me a sausage.Lots of bangs and flashes again when we arrived - not bothered with it though but the b****es are always moaning about it.They had schnitzel too and I got nothing from their plate again…greedy cows! They have bought me a fan to cool me down in the night so I'm happy enough.
Watched one of them shave the fur off her legs this morning! Then they tried to get me in the big wet puddle for a swim… I was having none of it! I'll go in on my own terms, which are….. give me a sausage first & I might think about it.
Got a severe telling off by the b****es this evening.Well….the little s*** asked for it.He'd been slipping snide comments for a couple of days across the site at me so when the opportunity arose I took my chances on trying to scare the s*** out of him!It backfired somewhat and I ended up nearly being sent home! I wouldn't have drawn blood or anything, just wanted to show him I won't be messed with and laughed at.
Now I'm sulking and definitely won't be getting any sausages.
