Well the disappointments continue on in Spain. We had someone interested in buying Betsy. All they had to do was to make sure all the paperwork was correct and we were home free. Unfortunately the people who sold the van to us did not give us the one crucial document that was required by Spanish authorities to enable us to complete the sale. So in a nutshell we cannot sell the van anywhere in Spain without this piece of paperwork. The options available to us was to take the plates off her and park it up some side street or drive it back to Germany.
I phoned the guy who sold Betsy to us and told him what was going on and that he has left us high and dry. He hopefully is going to buy the van back off us which off course means driving her all the way back to North Germany. This off course means that we will not be able to spend the last few weeks on Palma with Brendon, Natalie and Savanagh which was going to be a great finish to a great trip. We both at our wits end and had had enough.
After sitting down and re gathering ourselves we decided to head back to Germany. We will go via Italy and catch up with Brendon and Natalie at Natalies parents place. They are going to be staying there for a little while on their way back to Palma. We will also be able to catch up with my sister Judi and Mike as they are on holiday in the south of France.
At the moment we are parked up in a cute little village just over the border into France. It is only about 15 kms away from Andorra. We are so pleased to be out of Spain which has proved to be the hardest country to deal with of any we have visited by a million miles.
Our biggest disappointment of course is not being able to spend those precious weeks on Palma with the family.
