1/5/10 Left Betsy to rest in the campground while we went and explored Florence. The campground shuttle bus ran us down to the local village of Fiesole where we caught the bus into Florence. Hi to all. We stayed overnight in this beautiful campsite overlooking the gorgeous little town of Lerici. The campgrounds here are quite difficult to find. Most of the time we have been leaving it to Mr Garmin and trust me he must think Betsy is part mountain goat because where they put some of these sites is beyond belief. We left Lerici and headed to Pisa. Lots of people and you can understand why when you see this tower. It does tend to defy the laws of gravit...

Left Adrian and Sandy's beautiful house this morning. They were of to Turin for the day so we packed up Betsy and headed south in a misty rainy day. Had a wonderful time in Loazzolo with them. What a magnificent place they have chosen to live in. Fantastic hosts, thanks very much for your hospitality. As we got further south the weather gradually got better. Hi guys. Is anybody looking at this work? Please lets know. Had a great day getting into Italy. Got lost in the mountains of northern Italy, Austria, & Switzerland. Amazing scenery, snow 6 - 8 feet deep on the side of the road, skiers in all the little villages, we were actually lost and it took quite a lot of driving and map reading to find ourselves.
