Sept 9
We got up at 9 so we could go for breakfast which was really good then returned to our room to do some work, place orders for the store, pay bills etc
The view from our upgraded water view room was pretty nice.
Per our arrangement of last night we went down to reception at midday to hook up with Michelle and Craig. They finally got there at one, they'd gone back to sleep after breakfast.
While we waited the coolest dog wearing sunglasses came in with his honeymooning owners, too cute :-)
Once we were all together again we briefly stuck our noses into the Aquarium function centre, very swanky! Walking next door to the aquarium we were met by Joe who gave us a tour including the back room stuff, feeding the fish etc. it was all very cool and when he had to go get his kids from school we parted ways with the other two and did a rush cruise through the butterfly and bird enclosures. The butterflies were tricky cos as well as watching for them in the bushes etc you had to take care to not stand on them if they settled on the paths. There are some really gorgeous ones there. The parrots were cool, they flew and landed on you but, again you had to take care as some of them were a bit naughty and wanted to pick at your shirt - read put holes in your shirt lol
We left there about 4pm and set off for Norm's place in Ct. at first it was ok then, like yesterday, it all fell apart. We got stuck in traffic jam after traffic jam. The GPS was doing its best to dodge the accidents and hold ups it even went so far as to send us over a bridge just to u turn us once we got to the other side but nothing helped and what should've been a 3-4 hour max drive turned into well over 5 hours. We called Norm to update him on our progress and he was still working to get ready for his store opening on Sat so he said the house is unlocked, just let yourselves in, I'll be home by 10.
So we did as he said, let ourselves in and got a bit sorted out before he got arrived, we all had a couple of drinks before he had to crash so he'd make the 7.30 alarm tomorrow. We settled in our room, watched a little TV before crashing out ourselves.
