We slept well after the last few days of going non stop. We decided to forgo the expensive hotel breakfasts and set out for maccas. At the end of our corridor the first person we saw for the day was a bloke knocking quite insistently on the door to a suite, in nothing but his jocks lmao it gave us a good chuckle, a good start to the day!
It seemed like hundreds of others had the same idea as the queue was long but moved quite fast at maccas.
Fully charged for the day we took off on another wander along the strip. Over two hours later we returned to our hotel knackered.
There were a lot less people on the streets in the morning, far less of a crush. All the usual suspects were still there, the homeless, the wanna be models and actors dressed as showgirls, bumblebee, Michael Jackson, batman etc. the touts were out in force trying to sell tours, tickets to shows & "girls to your room in 2 hours". The latter were indiscriminate, trying to hand cards to single guys and obviously attached guys alike.
Pete had some work to do, bills to pay and pics to download so I decided to brave the casino. 2-3 hours later I'd doubled my money so returned to my room, had a couple of ciders, booked a plane tour over the Grand Canyon tomorrow arvo and got ready for tonight's show, cirque du soleil. It was awesome, so much fun :-)
After the show we hit the all you can eat buffet to use the two for the price of one voucher. Great food, plenty of options but OMG we both ate way too much and returned to our room to recover. The all you can drink for $12.50 didn't help our lethargy either lol
We set off out to the strip to catch the 11.30 volcano show at the mirage which was kinda kitschy but ok, did a bit of a walk to try and recover from the excesses of dinner, saw the volcano thing a second time from the other side and headed back to crash. It's another big day of driving and sightseeing tomorrow, really looking forward to the flight over the canyon :-)
