Well woke up this morning to the thought of packing and going home. We retrieved our cases and packed all the clothes we did not use (most of them!) and the few that we did. We had a final coffee aboard Katsumi - our home for the last 10 days before loading up and heading for Cairns for lunch prior to going to the airport for our flight home. Once in Cairns, Nick dropped us off at the Marina while he did some last minute shopping prior to his charter tomorrow as mother ship for a game fishing trip. We very soon found ourselves a nice bar and restaurant overlooking the marina (Salt House) We quickly ordered an exotic cocktail each to tide us over while we perused the menu. Nick's quick shopping trip turned into a not so 'quick' trip so we ordered some food and another drink to keep us going. When Nick arrived we ordered our lunch, the entree was really nice and then the main course arrived Lyndy, Linda and I all ordered Pork Belly. All was going great until Linda found she had been lucky to have had an extra protein source added to her dish. The only problem she is not overly fond of slow roasted Hornet!! That soon curtailed her appetite! I have to say the staff were very apologetic and did all the right things. I guess these things just happen occasionally. Never the less we had a very pleasant time. All too soon it was time to head for the airport and our flight home. The hospitality shown us by Nick and Lyndy will be fondly remembered for a long time to come.
