Trip sounds very exciting. Have to say I am incredibly jealous. Look forward to continuing to live Southeast Asia vicariously through you guys. Also photo of Dave and I on the website has reinforced need to diet throughout Jan and probably most of Feb!!
Take care

Good job you missed the Sydney Test as the cricket just got more depressing (although we did manage one proper all dayer)
Looks like your trip is off and running now, have a great time

PS Please pass on the Barmy Army's regards to all Emma's family when you see them

Hi guys! Green with envy about your trip - can remember Laos like it was yesterday! Sounds like internet connections (and two day slow boat to Luang Prabang) haven't improved since we were there. Look forward to seeing more photos!

Never mind the Beckham story. The fact that people are still willing to pay money for me (the same money that could get you Beckham for a week) is THE story of the year.

In Laos, battling against the slowest internet connection on the planet, so I will keep this brief. Thankfully, the friendly thai lad returned with the passports and we have successfully navigated the border crossing. Took just over two days to get from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang, including 2 days on a seriously overcrowded slow boat. The difference between Loas and Thailand is pretty striking. There isn't a great deal of infrastructure here and electricity and roads are not a given. We are rich here, I could employ someone just to wipe my nose but I think the days of colonnial exploitation are behind us, so Emma and I have hired bikes and are living fairly frugally. We are off trekking and kayaking tomorrow and are then on to vientiane, where we will be able to post a few more photos. Take care all - stuart and emma
becks to LA for 128m, nice work for the boy that.

Hello. Love the pics and tales (well apart from the passport theft bit - damn blast)
I am not sure how Jack Bauer is but the world of darts is very exciting. The BDO Lakeside (THE only darts tournament - Phil Taylor who!?!?) is in full swing with a Martin Wolfie Adams and Ted The Count Hankey Quarter Final. Although Andy Fordham has pulled out again because he has jaundice! Game On.
Keep having lots of fun. I am slowly getting the India project togehter - might get to go when I am 40 at this rate....

Emma, my India project is slowly coming together. I might be making a film in India which would be cracking. Alas it is not a Bollywood movie but a documentary. Can’t have everything I guess….
Enjoy and take care. X
Sarah.

Hi Guys
Great photos. Keep them coming.
Did you really have your passports & cash stolen? I hope not. No doubt it would have been similar to the time in Utrecht.
Wanted to let you know that the invites will be sent out next week so you will receive it after the wedding!
England were 5 for 2 at one point in the cricket 20-20 game yesterday. I think I may have to take Lib back to the UK so I can escape all this humiliation.
Have fun

ah the wonders of pat pong road!
if you're heading to siem reap, there's a fabulous guide called ponyeary. aside from her very good english, she is extremely knowledgeable and a survivor of the pol pot regime so her additional recent history stories are incredible.
safe travels in thailand ... beware of cranky elephants.

Hi guys, enjoying your site...the stories and pics. Your timing was perfect to get going on your trip - I'd hate to have been a Pom hanging around and looking for fun in Oz these past few days! Stay safe, and have fun.
Happy New Year. See you in March.
Viv
The photos of the cow are for why exactly? Or am I missing something... Loving that family portrait though - just sorry it wasn't taken closer up.
Happy New Year, and have fun in Bangkok (Guardian did have headline yesterday telling Brits to avoid Thai capital, sure they're just being alarmist....)
