So we arrive at our Peruvian family unable to speak a word. They are loving though...completely friendly and a lovely house. After a brief and very quiet lunch we head into town for a vino tinto and wonder only to return to a pitch black house with no key or way of getting in. Eventually the mother returns from church and we sit down for dinner. Nice Peruvian grub...chicken in tasty sauce with rice...slight snag being half way through there was a complete power cut....operation head torch required!
We were knackered so basically passed out at 8pm ready for our 6am start for school this morning!
Walking to school was mental, ridiculously busy roads with no rules and people literally spilling out of bus windows they are do packed. Our class consisted of two other English students and a massively irritating girl from New Zealand! Brown was quick off the ark with the old lingo however unfortunately the dyslexia slowed me down somewhat! Still only day 1!
Then we headed to check out yoga centre where we will go tomorrow and had a celebratory glass of vino overlooking Cusco square as the sunset! Dreamboat basically!
School all this week then Linard arrives on Thursday for 3 weeks! Can't wait xxx
