Hello all, Linard here! I feel very privileged to have been given a guest spot on this travel blog. So much so that I have written about 5,000 words! Amazing what you can achieve in 24 hours of transit. As you may or may not know, depending on your Facebook addiction, I have just spent 3 weeks with Mrs' Stratford and Brown. We travelled from Cusco in Peru down into Bolivia and as far south as the border with Chille, in the Atacama desert, before I had to drag mys...

So we arrive at our Peruvian family unable to speak a word. They are loving though...completely friendly and a lovely house. After a brief and very quiet lunch we head into town for a vino tinto and wonder only to return to a pitch black house with no key or way of getting in. Eventually the mother returns from church and we sit down for dinner. Nice Peruvian grub...chicken in tasty sauce with rice...slight snag being half way through there was a complete power ...

So the adventure begins...months of talking and we are finally off! Toasting the occasion with a bottle of processco we tell ourselves this will be our last indulgence! Knowing we are chatting absolute s***! Anyway after a long ass flight we arrive at 6am, head straight to our hostel and check in to our first dorm room...minging to be fair...damp and horrible so luckily the guy swapped us into a nicer one and we were on our own for the first night...dreamboat b...

Battered with good eggs! Ok so we hit Cusco and check into a Party hostel. After not really meeting anyone on our wave length in Lima were chuffed to meet loads of sound people. Complete mix of nationalities from Oz, South Africa, Canada although randomly 2 people from Manor Road in Stokey...needless to say they were the best! Had a complete hoot of a night, ended up at some s***ty club into the early hours getting a taxi home past the booze shop and I left Stac...
