Hello To all of our readers out there!
Arrived in Bangkok yesterday morning at 6:20am. Both very tired as didn't sleep much on the plane, also took a nytol each which didn't help when trying to stay awake!
Hostel is nice and clean. A bit noisy at night but not that we noticed as we were dead to the world!
Already eaten lots of street food- 50p a meal!! Pad Thai all the way! I also had a Thai massage (Vickey) basically got poked and prodded for an hour for £4! will not be making that mistake again!
Met up with Sams friend Aaron for lunch in china town which was an experience! I felt like a zombie walking the streets looking for food! It was sooooo busy but at least getting the hang of walking straight into a road full of oncoming traffic!
Spent the day today being chauffeured around in a tuk tuk to all the temples etc for about 70p so had to go to a few of the tuk tuk drivers "friends" shops to look at jewels & fabric for suits which we didn't really want to do but the driver gets paid to take us to look around so had to oblige really...
We saw some wicked temples but didn't have enough cash on us to get into the grand palace, Which we realised after paying £2 each to hire a Hawaiian shirt for me and Hawaiian trousers for Sam to cover up, so that was a waste of money. Sam looked ridiculous in the trousers so maybe not a total waste of money afterall :)
Off to Phnom Penh tomorrow so looking forward to that & think we'll go for a few drinks on the Khao San Road tonight & see what all the fuss is about as it seems quite tame in the day!
Photos to follow when we get to an Internet cafe, updating this on the iPhone as have free WIFI! Yey!
Lots of love to you all
Sam & Vickey

Katie :) Wow sounds ace hun, yes i want that pic of sam in those trousers!!!!! ha ha ha xxx
Lucy I'm already jealous! 50p a meal, very far removed from the over inflated prices of Richmond. We miss you here! xx
Ted Rowe Very jealous Vix :-( but you sound like you're having an amazing time, and I mean, who can argue about paying 50p for a meal... Pad Thai on top of it!
Vickey Tell me about it! I bloody love Pad Thai! Cambodia is a bit more expensive & its mostly in dollars which is odd but still nice, heading to the coast tomorrow to get some beach action in! x
