God is American ... don't you forget it.
amsterdam.
greetings from the most liberal city on earth. just got back from the red light district. quite an interesting experience. we tried to pick our favorite hooker but it was not an easy task as most of the "ladies" were not ladies at all.
with the smell of pot constantly wafting our way, we wandered throughout the beautiful canals - getting loopy from all the second hand smoke that never stops drifting from amsterdam's famous "coffee shops". strangely enough, coffee is NOT for sale in these coffee shops, so if you're thirsty, try a bar.
while i'm all about cultural experiences, i draw the line at herpes and drug use, thus prematurely ending the two most popular forms of recreation amsterdam has to offer its weary travelers.
amsterdam is actually very beautiful; it reminds me more of venice than sodom, it just gets a bad rap.
before amsterdam was koln or "cologne" and it too was very nice. there is a university there and a very large cathedral that looks a lot like a sandcastle on steroids.
in koln i had the best falafel sandwhich of my life. nothing else to comment on except koln is a very young city and very livable with a cool district known as the "belgium quarter" where there is a rad laundromat that has a DJ and a bar a bed to chill on. red leather everywhere. very cool. alright, some dude is hovering behind me waiting to use the computer. gotta go. tomorrow we eat dutch pancakes.
