Hello from Wellington. We haven't updated this for a while, since there has been a struggle for internet access in the South Island. We arrived on the ferry from Picton, and then walked a long way to our hostel, which was on a plateau up a big hill.
The first day we were here we walked around Wellington, and went up Mt Victoria (not actually a mountain). We saw the views over the harbour and then walked down to Oriental Bay, through a forest. We found a playground which had a very tall slide, as well as rotating chairs. I decided to go down the said slide, despite the fact it was rainy, and then I ended up flying off the end (thanks Newton) into the grass, about 5 metres from the actual slide. Soaking wet and covered in mud, Stevie decided against going on the slide. We walked along the seafront, back to the hostel.
In the evening, we went to see the Harry Potter 6 film. We had these awesome sundaes, which Stevie lovingly paid for as a celebration of my results, and we were generally impressed with the film. It's a good movie, and probably the most accurate adaption thus far.
The next day, after getting up very early for the free breakfast, we went to Te Papa, the National Museum of New Zealand. We saw quite a few interesting exhibits, including one dedicated to Formula One. We saw the actual cars, lots of pictures will be included once we find a computer that is younger than my brother, and went on a F1 simulator. Stevie got rather annoyed at constantly spinning, and I didn't fare much better (I did go faster though, shush!).
I'll update some more tomorrow, but I think I'll get a map to show you everyone where we have been.
Speak soon, Anthony.
