Got up early again, we are starting to look forward to the days at sea so we can sleep beyond 7 am, although Steve did get up at a very unreasonable hour to watch the Dockers final, he really has an addiction to men kicking a bit of leather around an odd shaped oval, lol.
After breakfast we caught the hop on hop off bus and took in some more sights of London, we saw Piccadilly Circus then got off at Trafalgar Square where we watched some street entertainers. One in particular was very funny, who managed to squeeze his body through the head of a tennis racket, hearing his joints dislocated was disgusting let alone the sight of body parts being in awkward positions. We then proceeded to the London Bridge and the Tower of London, both were very breathtaking, although the famous London smog was in full 'bloom'.
After all the hoping on and hoping off, we made our way to Madame Tussaud's wax museum and spent a great afternoon, checking out the details in the wax works, had our photos taken with Johnny Depp, Jim Carrey and other celebrities, we even experienced our first 4D movie experience. The 4th dimension being the ability to 'feel' the movie which resulted in water hitting you in the face when a fountain was splashed amongst other special effects which was great fun.
From here we caught the tube to Waterloo station and found a pub for a quick drink before meeting Larry and Amanda at the London Eye. The views were great and even though it was overcast you could still get a good perspective of the city. I think the overcast weather is just typical and no wonder the English love our blue skies at home, I don't think they get to many of those over here. After the London eye, Steve went on a chair hanging carousel that is 80 metres high in the air, he was the only one brave enough or silly enough to go on it.
After all of this we needed another drink and headed to the local pub in Knightsbridge for dinner and some more ciders, before heading back to the hotel to pack for our flight to Venice tomorrow.
