Steve and Lorna gallavanting around the world
ZIMBABWE
Compared to Zambia the border crossing was a breeze - for goodness sake Steve was even allowed to stamp his own passport!!! Still charged him twice as much as everyone else because he's British!
We entered the sleepy town of Vic Falls - rather desolate with all the political upheaval.
Even though Vic falls town was sleepy we managed to get some cool adrenaline activities under our belt. Wow, it got lively. From a Helicopter flight over the falls, to a whole day grade 5 white water rafting on the Zambezi, the fastest most dangerous rapids in the world. Boy did we think we were going to drown! The following day was a little more relaxed sat on the back of 'Lundi' a 24 year old elephant! What an experience.
One of the weirdest things in Zim was the currency. We had a bed full of money stacked in $100 000 piles, that was a few million dollars and a huge pocket full just for dinner!!!
The Falls themselves were only running at around 30% of there normal capacity because it was the dry season. It was awesome, we can only imagine the force when they are running at full pace!
Next we're off to Botswana...
