Steve and Lorna gallavanting around the world
We finally reached our final African Country of our big overland adventure - we still need to pinch ourselves on making it this far and just how amazing the trip has been.
The last out of the 8 African countries - Lorna's homeland.
We entered into South Africa through the natural border of the Orange River (separating Namibia and South Africa)
Here are a few of the great highlights.
THE CAPE:
Canoeing on the Orange River which was an absolute nightmare of 3 hours of pretty much paddling in circle!!!
The Warm Baths at Citrusdal. We were super impressed on how hot the water was!
The beautiful view and crystal clear weather going to the top of Table Mountain. What a view!
The fabulous dinner at "The African Cafe". Our last supper with our new found friends of the 42 day overland trip
Lorna seeing her cousin & family and all her close friends
Concert/picnic at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens with a famous South African band called "Freshlygound"
Driving from Muizenberg along the coast via Cape Point, Hout Bay and Camps bay with Cousin and friends

Meeting up with Kirst and Darren!
Oudstoorn - The Ostrich capital of the World. We visited an ostrich farm where Steve had a ride on one too. These birds are super strange and we learnt heaps of weird & wonderful facts!
As well as the Cango caves in Oudstoorn - The adventure trail which would be highly illegal in the UK for Health and safety reasons!!!
The scenic drive of the Garden Route - which is an infamous area of South Africa for it's lush green scenery, rolling mountains, forests and Highest Bungy in the World (no we didn't do it!!)
Steve & I having some quality chill out time alone after 2 months of solid socializing.
