The night train to Bangkok was a hoot!!! We were pretty trashed before the train even left the platform. We caught it with a guy from Pai called Richard and Ed, who we met on the way! After a very bendy 3hr minibus journey from Chiang Mai we arrived in the hippy village called Pai feeling a little seasick! Pai really was everything we hoped it would be. It was a groovy chilled out village up in the mountains. We stayed in a lovely hippy style commune of bamboo huts. We had to cross a very wobbly bamboo bridge to get form the village to our huts. Our long 2 day journey to Thailand was rather chilled out and relaxed. No cramped travelling and many a seat to each person! Luxury! We arrived in Ko Chang about 4 hours late. The coach took forever. We even lost part of the bus on the motorway and then reversed in the fast lane to pick it up!!! Anyway, we arrived in one piece.
