We've changed continents since our last blog but heres a run down of things we've done in South America since Santiago. Well since we last posted we've done a fair bit. From Aruiquipa we travelled to the Colca Canyon for a couple of days to go Condor spotting. The place we stayed at was very nice, it was almost like a safari lodge with an open fire place next to the restaurant for the cold evenings. Well the flight over the Nasca lines was definatly an experience, and not only for the views of the fantastic markings! We went up in a 5 seater small aircraft and it wasn't for the faint of heart as the thermals rising off the plains made for a very bumpy ride! Having left Lima we headed to Pisco which is famous for its white grape brandy drink ingeniously called Pisco. Apparently theres some dispute between Peru and Chile as to its origins but i've only heard the Peruvian side so couldn't tell you who is right.
