Not feeling overly refreshed as a terrible sleep was had due to heat and noise of the railway if we opened the windows. Anyway slightly cooler today so a bit more comfortable. Caught the tram to Schonbrunn Palace and walked around the gardens, which are very spectacular and huge. Next we tried the UBahn and then tram again to the Naschmarkt. I'm glad I don't do my shopping there as would come home with with millions of cheesy snacks as they were magnificent. Walked around the shopping mall looking at all the things we can't afford like Gucci etc. eventually found the tourist office so got a map which was a big help. Across the road was a so called Australian pub so we couldn't resist it. We drank local beer but it was ice cold! That was worth it. Headed off again and since we weren't really interested in the museums we just walked around a bit. Went to a couple of Brauhauses but nothing like the one in Dresden. Watched some local folk dancing and singing in the square at the Dom. Eventually finished up back at the Australian pub as was nice and close to the UBahn to get home. Had a few drinks and met a couple of poms (father and son) so finished up staying a lot later than planned but managed to get UBahn and then the tram home. Room a bit cooler tonight but still very humid!
