Stephen's Travels!
Mexico was not on my list of places to see but as I was so close to it I thought it a must.
We booked a tour from SanDiego. Getting in to Mexico was so funny...Its like going to wales from england...you just drive or walk through and hey presto you are in another country. You can see why so many fugatives head there. Our first stop was for a beach resort called Rosserito. We only had a brief time here and saw the beach (which was ok but nothing special) It was great to feel like i was in a different country again. Spanish is the No1 language and even though we were only an hour away from California it was so different. The average wage is 50p an hour so all the locals are desperate for your custom.
After Rosserito we headed 1 hour south to a nice little town called Ensenasda. Its had a port where a few cruise liners were docked and a nice feel to it. We spent the night here and experienced some authentic Mexican food in the town...Very good! The town came alive at night and a lot of locals were about. The next day we headed back up north to Tijuana. I had heard about tijuana because its so so close to America, all the under 21s who can't drink go for the weekend and live it up. It was dirty and not a nice place. We only stayed for about an hour and then headed back across the border in to California. The border crossong was not so simple this time and we had to wait ages to get through.
The small taster of Mexico was good and its definately a country I will return to again in the future.
