Day 22 - Tue 23rd March
Generally a bearings day. Wondered all around town, scoping out the sights, restaurants and bars. Found an amazing local steak place that looked like a dodgy garage from the outside but was perfectly local and delicious too.
Day 23 - Wed 24th March
Headed out of town on the bus to the vineyards. We rented bikes from Mr Hugo's family run bike hire business. Hilarious hilarious family. Between myself, Lloyd, Rich and a new guy Rob we got 2 normal bikes and a tandem. We had an amazing day ambling amongst the vineyards, bkue skies, 30 degrees, Andes mountains in the backround, sharing a bottle in each place. Back at Hugo's everyone hung around until the last bus while Hugo plied us with free vino. Perfecto.
Back in town we went for food but were far too tired from the heat and wine to stay out...
Day 24 - Thur 25th March
Recovered in the morning, posted shoes (by canoe apparently as I couldn't speak enough Spanish for them and they were mocking me...just like home...) and then headed to the main park with Lloyd and Rich. Stumbled across Las Malvinas Argentinas Stadium nessled away in the parkland. A 35,000 capacity stadium semi sunk in the ground. You could get inside so it was great to wonder around. Turns out it's the stadium where in the 1978 world cup Archie Gebbell scored his iconic goal for Scotland against the Netherlands, just really bizarre to find it there pristine but unattended...
Headed into town to a bizarre 'Liverpool' bar clad with pictures of beatles all over it, so we could watch the remaining 80 minutes of the superclassico that got replayed. 2 cracking goals gave Boca the win!
Cooked ourselves a lovely steak and pasta meal before having a lock in at the hostel with loads of other travellers.
Day 25 - Fri 26th March
Headed out on a tour into the mountains to a stunning lakeside base, from which we went white water rafting. It wasn't as extreme as when I'd done it in Laos but it was a great laugh, especially the look on Rich's face when he fell in. Also, just an amazing experience rafting through the Andes under a beautiful blue sky.
Headed out on an overnight bus to Cordoba where we are now. Meeting Marcos for his birthday today, house party tonight (where we get to meet his pet snake!!), and getting taken around by him tomorrow. Heading back to Iguazu for another local birthday party and full moon night walks at the falls. Then off to Salta at the end of the week as a stepping stone to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. A small town base for sandboarding, night astronomy tours in the clearest skies in the world and setting off on the salt flats tours into Bolivia...
So exciiiiittteeeddddd

Farricker Be careful. I have got into all sorts of trouble lured in by meeting peoples 'pet snake'.
