Day 26 - Saturday 27th March
I can't move the map marker but this is in Cordoba, central-north Argentina
After sleeping and settling into Cordoba we went to into town to check out the place and more importantly to find a hairdressers for Rich's mane. A shaved head later and we headed off to find the museum of modern art, a suitably sparce building with a few good pieces but generally with the feel of a gcse art exhibition. We cooked up another storm in the kitchen while Lloyd taught me finally how to do kickups.
When suitably full we headed off to Bar Vidon, owned by young Feddy to meet Marcos and his mates. A lot of free Quilmes and Fernet and coke later we'd been introduced to all of Marcos' friends, both parents and even their dog. Next to Marcos' flat to make acquaintance with his pet constrictor Laguera. After a few token photos we headed out to a semi-outdoor club in the middle of nowhere. 8 people crammed into a car, a lot of spanish and me the only foreigner driving into the wilderness was interesting to say the least. The club was incredible despite it's choice of 5ive and the like and at 5am we headed back to Vidon. More drinking, more locals and we ended up playing guitar until 9 in the morning long after the sun had come up...
Day 27 - Sunday 28th March
The night had taken it's toll and we didn't leave the hostel until around 6. We found some food and then headed to a local handicrafts market with live music and bought some football shirts. In the evening Lloyd and I headed back to Vidon and ended up walking through the backstreets of cordoba with Marcos' friends past sirens and dead cats on the sidewalk. Given that i speak about 20 words in french, german, spanish and chinese, Marcos' favourite thing is to tell people i speak 5 languages. Consequently a phrase or two in chinese and people are suitably convinced i am something that i'm not. We ended up sitting outside somebody's house, really random but a good laugh. After playing with Laguera the snake again, and a quick trip to meet Feddy's parents we went back to Vidon one last time to record WonDeewall, complete with Argentinian backing singers, a tribute for Dee's birthday. Another quiet night, another 3am finish.
Day 28 - Monday 29th March
Fairly uneventful as we had a quiet morning before I left at midday. Another 24 hour bus journey with Crucero Del Norte, more great food and more good sleep.
