Hey people, We hope that you all have been well over the past week, we certainly have! It was an early start Monday morning at 7.45am where we jumped onto the Awesome Adventures bus to take us to the dock - it took ages because everyone in Fiji are so slow (they work on Fiji time) Once we finally got to the dock we booked in and jumped aboard the Yasawa Flyer which then set off for the islands. We went past some awesome looking tiny islands on the way which we definitly want to go to if we ever go back! It took around an hour and a half to arrive at our first island Kuata. The Flyer is too big get to the beach so the resort send out a boat to pick you up from a few hundred metres away - the boat was really unsafe and we had to sit on the floor lol! Once we got to the resort, all the staff welcomed us by singing the Bula song which was really nice. Then the staff carried all of our bags to the room which was also nice because our bags are getting rather heavy! After checking in, we went to the beach for an hour before lunch. It was a beautiful beach with stunning scenery, it was paradise! After a tasty lunch we went back to the beach for the afternoon just relaxing and enjoying the sun. Tea was rather odd and not that nice but we ate it because all our meals there are free. There is no night life on the island so we took a romantic walk on the beach and then laid in the hammock listening to the waves and chatting about coming home lol before bed. Tuesday was a real nice day weather wise. Clear sky and was very hot. We had to keep getting into the clear sea to cool down every now and again! We even walked out into the sea because it is very shallow around the islands, so we saw lots of coral and bright fish through the clear water but we had to go back because Steph kept falling over and hurting herself on the coral! We relaxed all day really and then the night was much the same as the night before - a really nice day :) We will have to leave it at that for now until tomorrow because our time has ran out.
