After a good sleep in and late lunch in Croatia, it was back to Slovenia to visit their capital Ljubljana for the night. We arrived around 6 and headed out for a night walking tour of the city to visit the sights. Ljubljana is gorgeous! The old city is quite small centred around a river that flows through the middle of town - directly above is a stunning White Castle overlooking the town.
We all ducked in to a local restaurant to try some local dishes. From Slovenia onwards its meat and potato country! My favourite hearty food! I had a Stag Steak and Dumplings and Apple Strudel - I did steal a little of Andrews Foal Steak - yes I did eat baby horse - it has a really stong flavour and would definately recommend if you visit Slovenia!
After a long dinner we meandered back through the town to the Dr Skeleton Bar - an underground funky bar with glass floors to observe the skeletons and pictures with holes in the eyes and tombstones on the walls!
Onwards to Budapest!
