Heya guys!

Can't believe this is out first blog entry since arriving in Thailand - it's fair to say it's been pretty hectic!!

We are now in Chang Mai and arrived here after an 11 hour bus journey! Thank god for the air conditioning and the fact we got 2 seats each otherwise we actually would have died! Our hotel is pretty nice and has a pool which we intend on spending the whole day round. We have just booked a trek in which we will ride an elephant, white water raft, see waterfalls etc. begin this tommorrow morning and will finish thursday afternoon. It should be a lot of fun :)

Rewinding a bit...

We spent our first day in Bangkok doing a boat ride around the city. This was very enjoyable and meant we got to see parts of the city we wouldnt have by foot. We then visited the Grand Palace however could not go in because the King was doing his prayers so we are hoping to go back on our last day in bangkok. We have had a lot of fun in Bangkok, specially the nightlife!! The buckets send you a little bit crazy!! :D Bangkok is good to see but it is ridiculously HOT... walking around in the day is sometimes unbearable and we keep having to have little breaks for air con - which normally involves a stop in maccies, kfc or burger king haha!

Our trip down to the south was a lot of fun! We first went to Koh Phangan where the full moon party was at :D Full moon was MENTAL! The beach was so full you could hardly move - it was definetly an experience. One of the bars became our local and we spent the majority of our time there. We got friendly with the boss of the bar who kept giving us free drinks (don't worry, we watched them open them so it was safe haha ;) ) We had a lot of fun in Koh Phangan!! We then went across to Koh Samui which was also a really nice island! We payed literally 6 pound a night and the accomodation was great - we had a mini fridge, air con, spacious room, really nice bathroom! We couldn't believe it. We spent both days chilling on the beach because it was so lovely! We went to a massive open air club on the evening which was really good. Me and kate met some lads from London who were AMAZING dancers and so spent the night dancing with them :D

We then had one more night in Bangkok before we came up to Chang Mai and had a bit of a crazyy night out! We literally went all around the city and didn't end up back till 7am and had to check out by 12! So it was a little bit of a rush lol.. as we were all a bit hungover and just wanted sleep lol!
