..."A Diamond Night in Emerald City"...
New Years Eve is coming up here in Sydney and rumours say that the city has the most spectacular firework show in the world. I am looking forward to that and I hope it will be a night to remeber....
I haven't written anythin'for a while, mainly because Australia is far less interesting for me than a country like South-Africa. Australia feels like home, a safe and secure environment, perfect for the most awesome holiday. I have made a couple of nice friends, I am sharing a room at the moment with 5 lovely girls who do my laundry, cook, and are incredibly friendly. Than, there's Ashley, he's really become my mate and from the 30th of December onwards I will be sharing a room with him in the CBD (Central Business District).
Sydney is a beautiful city and I already had numerous days where I have been strolling around and the good thing is that you always see something nice happening. Yesterday, during christmas, I spend some time in the harbour with Ashley because it was a really sunny day. The scenery of the opera house and the skyline of Sydney form the ultimate setting.
My christmas was a bit lonely, as Australians don't care as much about christmas as they do about NYE for instance. No family around and an atmosphere that made me feel a bit down .... guess I can't complain though, and I will not!!
I love Australia and I can see myself living in this beautiful country one day. Right now I am mainly focussed on finding a job that pays decend enough for me to save some money for my future travelling.
Anyway I got to roll again, down to the beach...35 degrees and a nice sea are waitin' for me...
Miss my friends and family....
Cheers mates
