We were up early and set off further down towards Napier. We arrived at arrived 10am, checked into our hostel (an old stables) and set off for the day. We went to the 'isite' to see what was worth doing. Turns out its more of a place for looking at the gardens and going on walks. The weather was great, mid to late 20's so firat of all we played crazy golf... lou won :( we then went to the beach. It was a great beach, instead of sand it was soft pebbles from the sea which meant no sand everywhere and was quite nice lying on it. the waves there were mental. dead big and then small and then loads merging into one. we stayed there for about 2hours (i fell asleep) and we both agreed was the best beach we had seen. from there we walked further along the coast and went to the old prison. we waited 15mins then went on a guided tour. we were the only ones on it which was ok as it meant we chatted abit more with the guide than normal. it was dead interesting and abit scarey... there were hangings there and still actual grafitti there from old prisoners. it was shut down in 1993 so fairly recent. we worth a trip if anyone goes! We then went for some tea, went back and cleaned up and went to the cinema. we have tried twice before for theres never been nything on but this time there was loads on! we ended up watch the girl with the dragon tattoo which was class! then it was back for bed ready for another early morning.
