I was a little taken back once arriving at the airport, immigration control was definitely an experience. It was queues and queues of people each with a confused look on face, had no idea what was going on or what I was meant to be doing but went with the flow and followed the crowd. Next was baggage reclaim... We only saw one of our matching bags at first (only thought was please be mine). Rachel's face turned from hope to panic when saw my green label on the bag, but hers was hiding on other side. Airport Thai men were blatantly laughing at us trying to pick the beastly bags up.... I put on my 'pfft this bag weighs nothing to me' face even though was dying inside.
Got a prepaid transfer to the hotel and had that awkward do we tip the man or not moment. But the drivers loitering afterwards sorted that dilemma. We checked in and met the gang of 15 that we are apart of for the next 16 days and spoke to the tour guide. We were informed of our very early start the next day so we quickly went to the Internet cafe, showered and bed.
P.s. Sleeping in Bangkok is like trying to sleep in a traffic jam where a trailer of unhappy dogs has crashed, tooting horns and barks constantly all night kept me awake.
