19-20 March 2006 Touched down In sydney at approx 9.30 pm absolutely knackered from the flight but looking excited about the fact that I was a thousand odd miles from everything I know and about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime.. After a small trip on a slightly dodgy shuttle bus from the airport I arrived at the 'wake up; hostel in central sydney. First impressions were good, looked like quite a cool place, with internet access, movies downstairs, a side bar and loads of half naked, tanned girls walking around! Dumped my stuff in my own room (for the 1 night) and thought sod it and went down the bar for a few pints. Had a difficult but informative chat with a guy from denmark and then hit the sack for a good sleep. DAY 1 Woke fairly early today and went and had a good breakfast at the cafe in the hostel, before checking into a 4 dorm room. There I met a girl from England who was here for a couple of days. We had a good chat and I set off for a look at the opera house and Bridge.
