Ok 2nd day in Russia...finally found an intenet cafe....bottons don't bloody work though....fingers are killing me already

Where to start...arrived around 4pm yesterday...they let me in ok...silly b*****s.lol. As soon as i stepped foot out of the airport i was bombarded by taxi men...didn't really have time to say no before they took my bag and had me in a cab. It was a real cab...so don't worry. Drove up to this old soviet looking building and was told to go down this scary alley...thought to myself this must me a trap...or i'm going to get jumped out on...but it turns out that Russia don't like to have any signage on anything!!! Have all these maps and no bloody road signs.

Hostel is probably the start of many bad hostels to come...all adds to the experience i guess. There's no reception...just a woman with a desk...a lift that is questionnable and some dodgy mouldy showers. Russian's are really unhelpful and just say "nyet" (no) to EVERYTHING...before i even ask a question.lol

I went for a walk to get my bearings...got totaly lost...saw some random buildings i dont have a clue what they were, got offered a lift by some old man...and tried to tell him the weather was too nice not to walk.lol. Ask a bus driver for directions and next minute the doors shut and was riding the bus instead...luckily it drove past my hostel and i shounted "STOP"...which prbably just sounded like a English woman going mad!lol.

Was really down most of the day, between getting lost, missing everyone, and not finding a single friendly person it was really hard. Cried for quite a bit...cried myself to sleep...and then woke up...and thought i tryto find an internet cafe...got lost again (its going to happen alot i think.lol)...decided to sit on my tod and have a beer to drown the sorrows in the end....tatsed GOOD!!!....

Dragged my sorrow arse to bed again...had the worst nights sleep ever and got woke up by the nicest sound ever...English ppl coming into my room...I must have looked a state ...but was sssooo happy! Got chatting...there's a couple from Manchester and one of their bloke friends (his gf is coming out in Jan)...they're pretty much doing the same route as me including the vodka train...so even better. So far they haven't got rid of me.......
