Didn't wake until 9am, kids did their schoolwork, then we went out to find breakfast - eggs for the kids, burger & chips for D&L (much to the children's' annoyance!!). Bought new writing books & a manuscript book for schoolwork purposes, then walked to the bus station & caught the local bus to Ajijic. We sat on the bus, waiting to arrive at an obvious point to disembark, until it became obvious that we had overshot the centre of town! We got off, & walked about half a mile back into Ajijic, & then down the hill to the lakeshore. The kids found a park to play in for a while, & then we walked along the promenade to the pier. We spotted a couple of men on the shore with half a dozen horses, & the kids had a 30 minute horse riding session (M$100), much to M's delight.
Afterwards, we walked into the centre of Ajijic, & looked in a few arts & crafts shops, before stopping for drinks in a busy restaurant, which had some fantastic artwork hanging on the walls. We continued our exploration of the town, until we reached the main road, where we waved down a bus to take us back to Chapala. We returned to where the good value restaurants were, to eat (nice breaded fish fillet for D&L), & then D&J returned to the market, while L took (an overtired) M back to the room, to relax!
Later on, L&M went out to buy water & beer, & L "accidentally" bought a pair of M$150 sandals!
