Matt and Ant's Travels
Having sorted out our accommodation for the next few nights we thought it would be good to explore the city and visit the hosital. We picked up a cab to central town for $2 each (just less than 20p!) and started looking around. Lunch consisted of tasting local delicassies e.g. cow heel soup, scallop potatoes and some very sour chilli plums. We saw the hospital and managed to find a guest house that would do a deal for us with swimming pool and jacuzzi. They also allowed for Sam (my sister) to stay in the same room during her stay here which is good as she desn't have to find a place to stay!
In the evening we visited shakers bar, basically a bar in the middle of a shopping mal that opens till 2am well after the shops close. A new drink of choice was bought for myself and Togay by these locals we met, rum and coconut water, not quite to Anni's taste however! We were invited out on their boat which we may take them up on their offer next weekend, maybe then i can catch a fish!
