Up at 7am and caught a minibus to the airport. Back to Bangkok and then three more nights and then home! Can't believe the trip is almost over, feels like we've been here for ages but at the same time feels to have gone by very fast!!
We ended up staying in the Rambuttri village which was right next to Khao San Road. I made sure to have street food for breakfast every morning. There was a very cute, little Thai lady who made us the best duck rice and soup-kaaa. . We spent one day at the Jatujak Market which was really good, much less touristy than Koh San and much more variety! I bought some curry paste and all sorts! Then in the evening we checked out a bar on Rambutri with live blues music, it was a couple and their band, they played Hendrix, Sweet Home Chicago and all sorts.
For our final full day we went to Koh San road for another mooch around and I had my last Thai Pad Thai. Then Jessie Sam and Nic left that evening and me Isaac and Ben woke up at 5.30am the next day, headed for the airport at 6.30. We arrived at the airport at half seven and Ben and Isaac checked in at 8.30am. This left me waiting around Bangkok Airport for ten whole hours, bumming around till I checked in at 4pm! It was dire, but with intervals of naps and reading, it went quicker than I thought it would. My journey home was an 18 and a half hour long flight with changes at Hanoi and Frankfurt. Very tiring, but eventually made it back to London and caught a train from Gatwick to Glos. Home sweet home and my travels had come to an end. I had an incredible experience and can't wait to get on the road again!
