Sophie's trip to Costa Rica
On our second day in Costa Rica, we were at Tortuguero. We took the boat and went into the village. We learned about the turtles and the land. We learned that the turtles were endangered, and that they created rules and laws against hunting turtles. After, we walked on the beach, which was not for swimming, but was where turtles nested. After the beach, we went into the villages and walked around the shops and buildings. We talked to some of the residents and locals that lived there. There were a lot of kids running around and playing. For the most part, everyone was very friendly. We saw a man who's job was to open coconuts so you could drink out of them. We all bought some and tried them. We also spent that night at Rana Roja again.
