Hi all! Just so u know I arrived in Cape Town safely after a teary goodbye at heathrow when my plans finally sunk in (although this worked to my benefit as a kind man looked after me taking me through fast track to make me feel better!). The flight was...shall we say...very crowded. I mean so tight for space that when i woke up my nose was pretty much touching the nose of the man next to me...awkward (mum bet that wants to make u travel more). The food wasn't great but the movies were brill as I couldn't really sleep (i've slept for about 4 hrs in the last 24hrs) I highly recommend Maid of Honor for a girlie rom com made me laugh at loud (again awkward when on an air craft)
I was pleased to finally land and funny enough the first thing I saw when in the airport was a lady holding bags from Brussels airport. Once I had managed to pick my bag up from the ground (which was under weight whoop whoop) i steped out into scary cape town but was comforted to see a sign, as promised, with my name on. The man picking me up was William a lovely man who told me to chillax when I told this was my first time travelling (reminded me of dad saying it so immediately calmed).
I arrived at the hostel pleastantly surprised but also a bit lonely as no one was about, but all the people that worked here are very friendly! so i slept for another hour and when i woke up Andrea was sat in my dorm unpacking. So I now have a friend whoop whoop! She's lovely and in exactly the same boat as me (a loner doing the same tour) so we spent the day seeing the waterfront (beautiful) and going to the top of table top mountin where u can c all of cape town! (stunning). We're just heading to our pre tour meeting now so will fill u all in whilst I'm on safari
hope ur all well, miss u all xxx
