Started off the day with our free breakfast in the Tiki Hut. The hostel is decked with palm trees all over the place which gives it a really good feel. Have been craving ceral and milk for weeks as no where I've been has had it! Finally... toast and ceral for brekkie! I gave Laura a call as it was her birthday, got a little emotional after, as I do when speaking to mum and dad.... I guess that's a little soppy but I do miss everyone and it brings it home when i speak to someone i miss.
Then walked down hollywood blvd to the Kodak Theatre and the Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Caught the tour bus which took us through Rodeo drive, Beverly hills, and a view of the hollywood sign. Beverly hills was gorgeous, palm lined streets with massive houses. The weather is soooooo hot, the hottest place i've been to yet i think, must be high 90's-100 degrees. We definately caught the sun on the open top bus for 2 hours!!
Once the tour had finished we had dinner at a restaurant over looking the hollywood sign and we then caught a movie at the chinese theatre, apparently that's just something you have to do when your here! I then viewed all the cement signings outside the theatre and put my hands in Marilyn Monroe's hand prints, it was crazy as some hand and foot prints have been there since the mid 1900's! We walked home taking pictures of some of the stars on the floor.
Got back tot he hostel and got ready for the free BBQ. We met some girls who were in the opposite room who were lovely. All flight atendants living in Dubai, Lauren and Erin we're from Austrailia and Hayley was from South Africa (who also knew a couple of people i knew form norwich!!). We seemed to get on well so we all had dinner together and then we to the music room for Karaoke. We met some more people including a couple of english girls who had just arrived, and a couple of ozzie guys, Chris and Kierran from sydney. We all sat listening to the either good or bad karaoke and having a few beers...a really fun night.
