Today marked the last week of school at Safisha. This week, the kids will sit exams from Tuesday to (most likely) Thursday. We all went to school and helped the kids revise some old exam papers. Today, Alice invited the volunteers to her church - Nairobi West Friends Church - as they were having a groundbreaking ceremony for the new site of their church. This morning, Susan and Jamal left to go on to their other travels. It was also Alice's birthday today - she turned 54! One of the other volunteers - Laura (from Perth) got her hair braided. Today was a shorter day at the school as we had a leaving lunch for 2 of the volunteers (Susan and Jamal) so we got to go home for lunch and stay at home! Fridays at the school are very relaxed – there was about 1 hour of academic learning and then lots of singing and dancing (we had no idea what we were supposed to be doing). The kids at the school can really move their hips though – so cute! The kids also do a fashion catwalk and have story time.
