St. Patrick's Day in Ireland! How cool is that? I had a great time! I had the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off, so I made my way to Galway, a four and a half bus ride, to meet up with Jessie, a friend I met through SWAP! The weather was great! We did a little shopping, bar hopping and enjoyed the parade immensely!

What was really strange is that drinking in the streets is permitted in Ireland, well only on St. Patrick's Day, I believe. It was strange walking in streets while the Garda passes by and waves to you! Wouldn't happen in Canada... no we would have to dump our glass or bottle right in front of them and receive a fine!

We met all sorts of people and really enjoyed myself.
