After standing in line for about 30 minutes for Border Protection, I got in my arranged shuttle bus to Manhattan.
Because of my delayed flight, the shuttle bus was still waiting for me, meaning it would drop me off last. I got to experience some nice Friday night traffic. (the most popular night to go downtown in the US)
At Equity Point / Hotel 41 (new management changed the name to Equity Point) was a nice welcome and directed me to my room is a timely manner. The worst thing is to be really tired, and be forced to make your bed (all sheets were on a pile). Slept around 11:30 pm and woke up at 7:00 am. Pretty successful first night I'd say.
The next morning, I had actually intended to purchase a few things that I couldn't bring, such as an electrical toothbrush and razor. (US uses 100V, our adapters use 240V. The laptop is capable of both, but simple items such as my electrical brush and razor did not have that flexibility)
I couldn't find a close enough shop that selled these articles as I was on Times Square. Suprisingly low amount of shops are situated there. I did a quick stroll around the square and was deciding whether to buy a metro ticket or not, in order to check out the city.
Having decided against it, as I wasn't very much in a big city mood and was excited for Binghamton/the countryside, I moved towards Port Authority Bus Terminal.
