Well, yesterday we made the long trek from Yekepa to Monrovia. We cut some serious time off our trip, making it here in about 6 hours, rather than the 7 or 8 it took to get to Yekepa 2 weeks ago! The road has been vastly improved for the arrival of the President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, this weekend for the Independence Day celebration. Even with that, it was quite a bumpy ride!
We are sitting on the front porch of ABC University's guest house in Monrovia listening to the waves roll in. The view is stunning, and the weather here is beautiful! Nils and Adam are meeting with Del and Becky regarding the implementation of a business degree at ABC University. Expansion is good! We will be going into town a bit later to do some shopping before we head for the 3 hour wait in the airport. Right now we are also waiting for the tailor to get here to make us some traditional dresses out of the fabric we bought.
I am sadden to leave this beautiful country, but eager to get home to my husband and kids!
