Day 3? I've already lost track. Today started with a trip to Ural NW (still in Bellingham) for the 10k service on the blue moose. I dropped it off at 8a - an hour before they opened - so that Mark the service guy could start in on it immediately once they opened. He reckoned it'd be 3 hrs or so to do the whole service. Here I was in for a valuable lesson: Small town mice move at a slower pace than us city mice. I think I finally rode out of there at around 5:45p! But, to his credit, he does one heck of a thourough job, and really takes his time so as to cover the small details of the work. The Moose ran like a top when I finally got back on the road. (Thanks Mark!)
Fortunately, I was able to maintain a decent pace down the next leg of my journey - the North Cascades Highway!
I found a campground and got camp set up before dark. This camp is next to the Skagit river so tonight I'll doze off to the sound of a babbling brook :).
I'm popping in and out of cellphone network range, so this may be my last entry for a day or two.
