Hey everyone!!

Just wanted to say me and katie arrived safely and exhausted at 7am this morning!! Although the lack of sleep we have done well; after leaving the hotel at lunch time we were adopted by some lovely Thai people' who told us it was a Buddha day, a national holiday! All the temple entries were free today and a tuk tuk could take us to them for 20 baht, 35p!!!!!! We had a lovely driver and although a tad nerve racking it was brilliant! So we have been to the standing buddha as well as other temples, including the "lucky buddha" where we met a Thai teacher who taught us how to say a prayer to make us lucky.

We have just eaten and are now off to explore Khao San Road! Having a brilliant first day and hope the rest of our time is as good. Tomorrow we are going the grand palace and the market, then we meet our group in the evening and off to Cambodia on Wedneday morning early!!!
